#DevsCorner 1: Meet Aaron

Hey Sgamers,

ever wondered who’s behind our fabulous soon-to-be-ready app?

Here’s the first chapter of the #DevsCorner serie, where you’ll get to know a bit better the IT team, what they do and fun facts about them! Don’t be shy, if you have questions submit them to us and we’ll make sure we’ll answer them in the next episodes.

Now meet Aaron, our PM and blockchain dev:

1. What’s your name?

Aaron Cesaro

2. Nationality

3. What do you do + How is your typical day?

I work on integrating Ethereum within SGame Pro and managing the app-side development teams. After a small morning stand-up with the other developers and organizing the tasks of the day, I take care of implementing all the services necessary to use Ethereum within our application and to support the development of Sgame Pro.I have also recently discovered that I am an excellent system engineer So I often put the CEO’s printer in place.

4. What is your favorite game?

At the moment I do not have much time to play but an hour of COD a day keeps the doctor away! So I would say Call Of Duty MW3!

5. If you are not playing, what do you do?

I put the CEO’s printer in place!

6. Preferred language?

Being SGame Pro an application completely developed in .NET, I had to learn C# (specifically, I use only Nethereum, a wrapper of Web3.js in C#). I must say that it is a very complete language and I like it a lot. I would never have said it since I hate Microsoft. My heart remains with C ++ anyway. I can’t help that!

7. Tab or Spaces (if the answer is spaces, how many spaces do you use to indent? 2? 4? 8? 3.14 billion?)

(AN. This is a bit of a “holy war” among software developers; one that’s been the subject of many debates and in-jokes.)

What are Spaces???

8. Among the SOLID principles which do you think is the most difficult to implement?

None of them, if you have clear requirements and a good design in place. Otherwise the SRP also becomes a big headache.

9. What is your favorite IDE?

(Editor war is the common name for the rivalry between users of the Emacs and vi (usually Vim) text editors. The rivalry has become a lasting part of hacker culture and the free software community.)

Vim. Are there any others? Ah, I didn’t know 😀

10. What was your most difficult bug and how much did it take to fix it?

One of my former classmates had replaced some “;” (in coding they separate statements) with an identical Greek symbol in the code of my OOP project. After losing about an hour and a half insulting the compiler, I came to the conclusion that maybe I was not born for Computer Science.

11. Ricursion vs Iteration

It depends on what I have to do! I remember it took me almost a month to understand the recursion to university. Once I wanted to use only that. IT IS TOO ELEGANT! But in 90% of the cases I go with iteration.

12. What style of indentation do you use? K & R or Allman?

(In computer programming, an indentation style is a convention governing the indentation of blocks of code to convey program structure.)

K & R all the way!!

13. How many coffee do you drink a day?

int count = 0;
while (count <6) {
aaron.addCoffee ();
count ++;
cout << "I drink around" + count + "coffee";

14. What are your productivity hacks?

God bless Google Calendar!!

15. If you had to open your start-up this Monday, what would you do? (you do not have time to learn new tools or technologies)

(DApp is an abbreviated form for decentralized application.)

I would create a DAPP that allows saving playlists on blockchain.

16. You are the last one in a box of colored crayons, what color would you be and why?

Mmm .. I would probably like to be the box :)
